Swedish’s expansion of their Edmonds campus includes a new Emergency Department, urgent care center and outpatient diagnostic imaging center. Drawing on a design theme inspired by the region’s geologic history, the landscape incorporates trees that are recorded in the fossil record but are no longer native to the Pacific Northwest. These rare trees will be featured in an interpretive program for the local community.
